MAGNETIC RUBBER (OR PLASTO-FERRITE)
Commonly (and erroneously) known as plasto-ferrite magnets, rubber magnets, like those actually made out of plastic, are produced by means of both extrusion and moulding.
Based on the production cycle and the binders utilized, various products can be obtained, such as magnetic profiles, magnetic slabs, magnetic sheets, etc., both isotropic and anisotropic, whose multiple applications depend on their shape and magnetization (even multi-polar).
MAIN APPLICATIONS OF RUBBER MAGNETS
Magnetic profiles, like almost all rubber magnets, are often “custom” made (based on the customers design) due to the low cost of the required equipment. They are commonly used in the field of:
- refrigerators
- in the publishing world
- in the advertisement
- for exhibitions stands and pop-ups
Multi-polar magnetic profiles are regularly utilized wherever perfect adherence is required between opposite poles upon relatively small surfaces.
The magnetic sheets, due to their flexibility, are also utilized for the production of:
- low-performance electric micro-motors
- publishing
- advertising
- exhibition stands
